RuarriP
Hey Kid Canada, What's the shisha scene like in Sask? I live in Kingston, Ontario, and there's nothing here. I have to get all my supplies from the net, or pay a 500% markup for stale tobacco at the one shop in town that sells shisha. Do you have any cafes around you? We don't. Peace R. Stew
The shisha scene in sask is pretty thin. I've only seen one and heard of another. As for cafes, not one exists and starting one up would be almost impossible since the province-wide smoking ban went into effect. Yup, no smoking in bars, restaurants, lounges, or clubs. It's supposed to save the lungs of those who do not smoke, but I find that it ruined the atmosphere to some places I used to frequent.
RuarriP
We've got a pretty harsh ban on smoking here in Kingston too. We can't even smoke on outdoor patios in the summer. I know Ottawa has some cafes on Sparks St., but only in the summer when you can be outside and smoke (their by-laws do not extend to patios) Oh well, I think that shisha will have to remain the domain of private groups, which is too bad because we're missing out on some of the social aspects of the scene.
