Let Us All Bow Our Heads

Recommended Posts

Today, was a very sad day for me, as i was picking up the base of my mya acrylic (with water in it) I accidently picked if up by the little ring on the top, failing to realize that this was not actually a part of the base but rather a seperate piece that fits on, so, low and behold, it comes apart and my base falls to the ground, *CRACK*, and just my luck the base cracks and a chunk is chipped out. I was thinking super glue but that prolley wouldnt form an airtight seal because there is a large crack in it as well as a missing chunk.
So, should i just chalk it up to bad karma and go buy a new base, or do you think mya would replace the broken base even though i didnt purchase it online. I just need some suggestions. Thank you.

well, to be honest if you got superthin superglue from say a hobbytown or zap a gap brand you would probably form and airtight seal... from my experience superglue is seriously weakened by water and would probably loose it soon after fixing it.

epoxy 2 part is the only way to go or get plumbers glue from home depot or lowes.

let is sit about 24 hours and you should be as air tigh as a baby's butt. blink.gif

we always try middle-eastern shops for hookah parts.

for instance our tallest hookah we use for groups came initially with only a 2 hose stem. we were able tp purchase a nice three hose stem to replace the old stem for only $20, and as a bonus it added an inch to the hookah's heigth. places like this here in Oklahoma often carry, or are willing to sell, hookah parts and not the whole assembly.

Try this out and see what you may find.

ive tried to repair my vases twice and both were miserable failures. of course i didnt use epoxy, but i used duct tape and hot glue. wouldnt recommend either of them. Your better off saving time and money by just buying a new vase

You may contact Mya and see if you can order just the vase. They are not that expensive and it will just save you time and agrivation.

I am pretty sure you can pick up an acrylic base for a reasonable price.
