Supercooling Second Chamber

Recommended Posts

Ok... so I'm curious about trying this one... What I'm gonna do is have the hookah set up like normal... from there, I have a 10ft vynal or w/e tube that I used to use as a hose that I got from Lowes. Thinking about coiling that up in a second chamber filled with an ice/salt mixture for extra coldness. Thinking that I can get that part of the hose cool enough it might cool the smoke off alot? What do ya think, think it'll be worth it? But yeah, I'm thinking about putting this in a cooler or something to keep it cold the duration of the session... and I'll probably just have one end of the second tubing sticking out from the cooler and attach a hose to it.

You could stick your vase in a tub of ice and salt. Just like they do when makeing ice. This would chill the vase right up. Frosty....lol

I've thought about the vase thing... but I'm too paranoid that the glass will shatter! Besides, if something happened to it, I can detach the second chamber and smoke straight

Get a decent size container and about 15-25ft of vinyl tubing and coil it up in the container with both ends poking through the top and put some female/female connectors and fill it with salt water and stick it in the freezer until you are ready to smoke. Then just hook it up and have at it.

Same principal... but instead of a second water bath just something to cool the smoke down... like the ice chamber in a hookah... but seperate from the hookah

EDIT: It would be more efficent to do it with a metal tube but i wanna see how it might be before i buy the materials to do this.

do it like a condensor coil on a still. Run a coil of copper pipe through an ice filled container. make an attachment (old hose end? on the end of the a piece for plastic hose, attach a coil of copper tubeing to that, put the coil in a cooler, add ice, have an end on the copper tubeing to plug in either some more plastic hose to plug your regular hose into, use the plastic hose to smoke from, many variations, but thats how id do it.

You can use the thing in the picture, run copper hosing inside the container and add ice. closed smoke circut but cold pipeing.

Well, mush... that was the plan for later... I was trying to do a mock imitation of this set up before i go and buy the tubing. If I can get it right, I'm considering figured out a way to engineer this so that it would be easy for people to use... who knows, if I get it good enough maybe I can sell this as an attachmnt biggrin.gif

That is something that I've been thinking about too... but the way i'm refering to this time is with out the smoke going through a second set of water... like the vynal hose connects like a regular hose from the hookah... there's a bucket sitting next to the hookah and the hose is coiled inside with a water/salt mix so the hose gets reallly cold and thus cools the smoke. The other end of the vynal hose will be just barely sticking out of the container... you connect a regular hose here. I'll see if I can make some diagrams later or something... busy right now

Yeah, that's what i was thinking... coil it and put it down some pvc type chamber... like i said i was gonna try this with just a vynal hose but next pay check or something I might just go buy the materials... does anyone know a tool that would be good for coiling tubing?

you can pck up a pipe bender fairly cheap at a home depot or the like..you MIGHT even be able to find it pre-coiled for soem other use. You COULD try wraping the copper tubing carefully arounf a pice of pipe with the diameter you want.
