RuarriP
Hey guys and girls, My last shisha order came with a free mini pipe... see here www.smoking-hookah.com/Products/Hookah/Small-Hookah-Pipe.asp Kinda cool looking eh? When I tried smoking it the smoke got warmer and warmer until it finally disagreed with me (I was eating at the time). The tobacco didn't burn, the smoke just got hot. I used foil over the bowl and 1 coal. Has anybody used these before? I saw them referred to as 'Goza' on one website but I think that may be a blanket term for all pipes. I'll try using 1/2 or 1/4 coal next time, maybe this will help? Some tips would be appreciated thanks
cypress
Some one else had that same problem here. Their pose is titled "Tiny Hookah Help" authored by Zemo. For me it just seems too small to enjoy a smoke. Get with Zemo and maybe the two of yall cam come up with something.
Ghaleon
is there a cage for sale anywhere? something to keep the coal on top of the bowl while you're carrying it?

RuarriP
That looks like it would take some of the nervousness out of carrying the tiny pipe, thanks

cypress
Try using ice water then and see what happenes.
RuarriP
I had a nice afternoon smoke with my little buddy. The ice water helped out for a bit. I only used 1/2 a coal, this seemed to smooth things out a little. The smoke still got quite warm after about 20 minutes of smoking. I found that if I inhaled some air along with the smoke it evened things out, (sort of a mouth carb). Oh and I think I solved the coal slippage issue with an old tray, It wasn't as good as a full-size hookah, but it was a nice, quick way to sneak a smoke without the whole song and dance of setting up the big pipe. Thanks everybody for your help
cypress
You said that the smoke got hot after 20 min of smoking. Did that mean that the ice already melted. How much ice did you use and how big were the chunks.
RuarriP
I had to crush the ice down to snow because the opening in the top of the base is only 1 cm (uh. 1/4 inch maybe) in diameter. The bowl screws into the base, and the pipe screws into the side. The water/snow mixture starterd out really cold but the heat transfer from the bowl heated up the water pretty quick. After 20 min the glass was warm to the touch. All of the pipe's components, (except for the glass bulb) are metal. I think this facilitates heat trasfer into the water and everything heats up pretty quick. Good for a quick puff, but still warm.
Zemo
What does your bowl look like? mine is rediculously shallow, and smokes horribly.
NERV
a better ide for a handheld pipe, instead of having a short direct pipe, would be a long serpentine pipe, like a coil or something, so the smoke be as hot when it reaches the water, be a lil harder to clean tho
RuarriP
Zemo, The bowl is fairly shallow, but deep enough and it seems to smoke ok with some finesse. I just can't take a strong pull, otherwise I get a mouthful of water. Overall I think that this is more of a gimmick than a fully functional pipe.
