Alqoshnia
I dunno if anyone has tried this, but I put hot water in the base and I think it absorbs alot of the nicotene (harshness). It does tend to hinder the taste a little. More experiementing is in order though
Victim026
The Colder the water is the less nictoine gets through(at least thats what I remember from one of Eric from Tangiers posts)
rattler
The warmer the water the more nicotine is removed from your smoke or something to that effect is what Eric said.

hmpitags2006
That is probably due to the density of the water.
rattler
Water is a better solvent when it's warmer than when it's colder. That's why we wash our really dirty clothes in hot water. Going along way back here to my college chem class that I don't remember so well LOL so I may be a little confused on the term "solvent" and be using it improperly. Water molecules "get excited" as temperature increases and collide more frequently with their environment. This increases the solubility of substances (i.e. nicotine) that contact the water. I think you used the term correctly.
Chip
i did some research on other threads for better ways to smoke tangiers and i still just cant get the stuff to burn any better. I currently only have have cocoa and apple from there f-line. Maybe its these flavors that are just difficult to control. The only thing I've done thats made a big difference was mixing brands, but i really like how they taste alone and being able to get that huge buzz but haven't found a good way about doing that yet. Also I pack the bowl about half way not letting the tobacco touch the foil. As far as the foil i just put a bunch of real small holes and use two 33mm three kings coals both placed flat on the bowl... Any suggestions. I'm about to try that hot water thing and see what happens. Thanks for that tip by the way
HAHkoo
pack more tobacco. i'm surprised sonthert hasn't come in here to say that haha, but yeah you have to pack more tobacco than usual with tangiers, its not a conservative shisha.

Just wanted to make sure I hadn't totally lost it
Sonthert
Although, nicotine has a strange solubiility curve in water. The solubility of it starts going down around 60C in water. warm-medium warm water is best. Warm water indeed does abosrb more nicotine.
