hookaheveryday
Is there any reason why my smoke is always grey? Sometimes its thick and sometimes not so thick but i can never seem to get it fluffy white. I've tried both less and more coal but that just changes the flavor and makes it harsh so I know it isnt heat management. I changed bowls too but still the same problem. I clean out my hookah minutes before I use it do you think water somewhere in the stem has anything to do with it?thanks
fewwdragon
how much water do you use ( about how many inch above the bottom of the stem). Make sure your not packing your bowl to full.
hookaheveryday
I'm using a medium SS egyptian so I put my water level right at that first clear line in the frosted glass (about 1/2 to 3/4 inch below the surface). And I have troubleshooted the packing technique as well but still same problem.
fewwdragon
Well the only things i can thing of is to acclimate your shisha and maybe try different water levels and make sure you have no leaks. Also make sure your not color blind just kidding. Well Good luck

spoolinspoon
it sounds like you might be packing our bowl to tight or your just burning it and not letting it bake. Could also be your shisha. What kind of tobacco you using?
hookaheveryday
I am using al waha. I used to use AF all the time so im still getting used to using this stuff.
spoolinspoon
make sure you mix the tobacco throughly before putting it in your bowl. In some cases, if the tobacco is dry, it will do that. AW will tend to burn quicker then AF, so try a bit less heat then normal. Maybe breaking a coal in half and putting half on one side and another on the opposite. hookaheveryday
It must have been the water level. I raised it a bit and probably got the thickest white clouds of my life earlier. Thanks!!!!!
