Uk Smokers Are Nuts

Recommended Posts

I finally got my car, and decided to goto london last week, I was walking around and saw a shop selling shisha. All I can say is who the hell do the UK guys get in this hobby, the prices were outrageous, I really feel for you when you pay those prices. I am glad I can get some shisha through my APO and pay US prices, otherwise I would be giving up this hobby

There's a shop near me, back home in Oxford, that sells Al Fakher in 250g tubs for £6.50 (13 dollars?). Not bad if you ask me.

I always use hookahshop.co.uk when i run out of the stuff i get my freind to bring over when he goes to iran. I buy afzal, which is £6.65 for 250g, i personally love this, the smoke is always good, the taste is good and it lasts over 2 hours, with good managment. the best thing is its half the price of nakhla!! But when i have a bit of extra cash, i treat my self to some al fakher lol.

You ain't used it in a while then. It's Closed and if you look around there site all the tobacco products have gone.

There is a story circulating about a fire... But I am wondering if they got spanked for selling Tobacco products without proper licence? Which would also mean not giving the tax man his love.

Just my thoughts.

hey JD if you send kam an email he will happily sort out your order, its only for regular customers and i am guessing you are from the reviews in the vendor section. So if you want anything just drop him a line. They are closed because they are switching there payment method from nochex to mastercard, and mastercard is not entirley happy with them selling tobacco products.
Hope that helps

250kg £5 pffft..keep dreaming, thats the fake Al/El Fakher in the U.K we have alot of that. If we talk about Edware prices (shisha capital of london) prices of 1KG al fakher range between £40-50. 250g of Al Fakher real one's that is, range between £10-12. It is a bum to live in the U.K, our prices are really out of proportion to the rest of the world. And I also can't find any of that starbuzz stuff in the U.K, that everyone brags about.

HM Customs in the UK have a lot to do with the prices..
what needs to be paid? ((invoice price + shipping + carriage & insurance) dutiable at between 80%-90% + excisable at £60 per kilo) then VAT charged at 17.5% of all i mentioned before.

Even if you put any charges you might find on the internet or in retail outlets into the abpve equation, it does not add up.

Most tobacco in the UK is smuggled, it,s a black market operation, and most people dont want to get involved with the importation as the genuine final customs cleared price is ridiculously expensive.

It works well with the UK philosophy of criminalising things to maintain the fines and penalties regime. Need i say more , parking, driving, late tax returns.

Smoking shisha in the UK is expensive and socially unacceptable what with the imminent SMOKE FREE ENGLAND campaign.

Honest its a wonderful country but the government are hellbent on ruining everyones life. Illegal wars, 24 hour drinking the abberation of gambling, curtailment of civil liberties.

Shisha is a great sociable activity and the popularity of shisha lounges and cafes is testament to its ability to unite people around tables in the pursuit of conversation and intellectual/spiritual/political enlightenment. So guess what ? the government wants to stop it in a blanket NO SMOKING nationwide ban, that's another topic completely, but I just wanted to give some reasons as to why we are NUTS in the UK

So who's up for the contraband? www.alandalous.co.uk

Nice, from Mile end station you walk out and you'll see a bridge. Under the bridge there will be some shops, it will be the second shop closest to the station under the bridge. You should intially see all of this after you walk out the station. Glad I could help, pretty sure you'll like it too, managers a nice guy.
