mushrat
So, I'm sitting here watching the superbowl and smoking mu 34" since my 24 is temporarily out of service and my QT is at the cafe, and i'm noticing I'm having to use more coal to get it going right. The shisha is one I'm familiar with, Layalina, so I know how it usually works. Is this just me or has anyone else noticed this? I'm thinking the longer pull means a little less air flow, therefore it isn't keeping the coal as oxygenated from the air flow, therefore it isn't gettng as hot. Anyone? maggmaster
That makes sense based on the physics of the thing, you are moving a greater volume of air so the pressure will be less.
KingMidas
Yeah i ran into`the same problem. I was smoking out of a 14'' and moved to a 34''. The first bowl didnt smoke very well so on the next one we added another coal and it worked just fine.

hookah hippie
I use a pretty tall hookah and I use more coals then when I used to smoke a smaller one
Apollo
i smoke in general 26 to 32 inch hookahs and i dont notice anything with needing more coals, could just be the hookah but the 26 inch one doesnt smoke nearly as well with one coal as the 30 inch one
glz88
my fav trick is to have a big coal and a small coal together on top covering the whole area...works like a charm for me.
