Zemo
So, I got the 250g boxes of romman, in that hand tupperware...thought it made a good seal, so I didn't hesitate throwing them in my hookah bag. well, I pulled them out, and there's a sticky puddle in the bottom of my bag, and most of my shisha is dry! What can I do!? add honey? water? ANY way to revive this stuff? Tried smoking a would be flavorful and thick bowl of sweet melon, got a bit of melon flavor, lot of tobacco flavor, and it burned easy. Any tips?
RuarriP
I had a box of mint like that once. I didn't want to mess around with the mixture, so I put it in the freezer overnight...It helped a bit. Might be worth a try.
cypress
I take it you got rid of the puddle of "juice" so there is not way to put some of it back in. Try adding honey or molasses. You have to know whice one is used in the ma'assel though. IE a honey based ma'assel add honey not mollases. It wont make it where its a brand new box but you ought to be able to salvage what you have.
cypress
Oh and you want to add enough honey or molasses to make it the same consistancy as it was before. Depending on what flavor you have you could also experiment with extracts that you can get from the grocery store. IE apple extract, pineapple extract, vanilla extract, ect. King Mo
I personally would throw it away and buy a fresh batch too much headache to mess with it and end up with a sh*t smoke. try to mix up the current tobacco, and see if you can mix in whatever is left with it. If it still doesn't make it a decent smoke, I'd bin it. just my advice. if you do find a working formula, please post your methods/results
cypress
I agree, buying new good stuff is going to be you best bet.
Zemo
it's 5 250g tubs of Romman....not cheap enough to trash.
Reapermanx
ouch 5 tubs.... i think id cry. I havent worked up enough courage to get any 250 tubs but the sweet melon rommon. Good luck with the honey. My friend tried adding honey to the tobacco and said it made it taste a little bit sweeter but if to much is added it carmalizes. I hope you can save the stuff cause if your anything like me youll be stubborn and smoke it because it cost so much.
tobbsman
There is a nice way to get some life out of old, dry tobacco, and it works 100% I promise ! You go to the apothecary's shop (?pharmacy, drugstor, is it the correct name in english?), and you buy a bottle of glycerine. You have to add to 50g old tobacco around 2 spoons of Glycerine (teespoons). You mix it good and let it rest for about a day. Result: You would not believe what kind of thick smoke and flavor is coming out of your old tobacco. success...tobbsman
tobbsman
one more thing ....never add water to the tobacco ! You will destroy it ... after some time there will grow some mildew in the tobacco ...adding honey can be dangerous too ! The somke can go less, harsh and to heavy, especially with romman I would not do it because as far as I know there is already enough honey in the tobacco and it will be anyway spread again with help of the glycerine over the whole tobacco ...
