A Good Idea

hey i was looking through the site and all the discount codes for all the different sites are scattered around. I think it would be a good idea to have a sticky post (or equivelent) with only discount codes and the sites that they go to. Post up if you think this is a good idea.

A few people have brought this idea up. And each time we decided against it. That way passer bys have a harder time to find it and the members that actually contribute to the forum get to use to code! =oD

yeah, once someone has been here long enough to figure out search, then they deserve to get a discount

maybe setting up a members only forums section would be a good idea where for instance businesses and members alike can offer special offers to forum members only. It could be extended to paying members only - that way not only does the hookah forum get increased funding but 'true members' will get what they deserve and unpaying members would have good incentive to become one just a thought - you can flame me now lmao

sometimes the website discounts are only seasonal, like a i remember one of them being like 'halloween' . we need permanent discounts to be seperated from the seasonal or promotional ones. Maybe two stickies?

just kidding, not a bad idea, i actually tried to become a paying member and the payment processor wasnt working. considering how much we all spend on hookah stuff normally, ponying up the membership fee is just a drop in the hat really.

I dont think your position in this forum should be established by how much money you contribute, it should be how much knowledge you contribute (and free samples). Maybe a one time membership fee would make sense but beyond that i dunno

It isn't about where you stand in the forum, it's about supporting our hookah community and getting a few perks - it is after all only a suggestion and i'm not even sure this forum could be modified to incorporate it.

Well being a donating member has an up and a down. You dont have to do it, as you have access to the same amount of info we do. And besides its not like the premium section is a hopping place or anything. I think it finally broke 3 threads.

Making a sticky is a bad idea. Sure it takes 2 seconds to join and search for them, but it makes it more difficult then looking at a sticky if you just happen to run across the forum looking on google for a discount. But if you are a premium member I made a post for all the discounts so you dont have to search.
