Monil
hi guys,as with every hookah i've owned before, after a while i can't get any decent flavour or smoke out of it.i've got a triple hose abyss with those hoses from that shop everyone loves but i've forgotten what it's called cos it's been so long (that's what i wrote before i remembered it's MYA washable hoses)ok sowhat's the best way to go about cleaning my bowl/hookah of previous residues/flavours fresh for my next session? atm i use one of those wet brushes it takes out a load of green residue but i still cant get a clean flavour out of my hookah (FYI i use fakher, starbuzz, nakhla)what's the best way to go about cleaning out the hoses of previous flavour? i remember mya specifically saying these were washable.ive been off the hookah for a while cos of this but ive had some urges for some good hookah but cant do that as it stands!thanks in advance! mushrat
Ok, so you've used a long brush to clean the green gunk out of the stem. You've used mild soapy water and a brush to clean the base i hope, because flavours can build up in the base as well.As for your hoses. You are about to get 3 or 4 different variations on this answer, but here's how I do it. I get lemon juice concentrate at the store. I first work the hose back and forth a few inches at a time down the length to loosen up anything attached to the inside. Then, I blow through it to remove the dried particulate matter. Then, standing at the sink I take a mouthful of the concentrate and blow it into the hose. Keep your thumb on the other end to cap it if any tried to come out. Once I get about 2 mouthfuls of lemon juice in it i then wotk it back and forth the length of the hose a few times, then I let it drain out. Don't look its probably brown and nasty. I repete the process, then i run water though the hose. After it runs clear i go outside and swing the hose over my head like a helecopter to force most of the remaining water out, then i hang it over my shower curtain rod to drip dry. You may want to put a towel down because it may still drip a little gunk even after all that. Let it dry over night and after a few puffs, what little lemon taste may be left is gone and you have a new hose. You will hear other variations using vinegar and such, but the process will be about the same. Good luck!

Monil
ok, i'm gonna try it using a new hose- just went through the base and stems with soapy water and i can already tell most of the old gunk has gone properly by breathing through it from the mouth. will start it up with some golden af grape. here's for hopin'
Allia22
BLEH! I cleaned my vase out with some dish soap despite warnings given to me by the helpful people on here. Needless to say, the majority of my session tasted like soap XP
