WhitzEnd
Okay just a couple of quick questions.I have searched here and googled everywhere and cant seem to find an answer to this.I have a 3 hose acrylic that i got from hookah-shisha about 2 years ago. Its a real pain when i want to smoke solo. Anytime i need to blow out the chamber i have to get up and unplug one of the other hoses. Plus the fact that i have to get the other hoses out and plug them in and coil them up so they arent going everywhere (i dont have any plugs to put in the hose receptacles) is a pain in itself. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to make a check valve that would fit into one of the receptacles or if theres someplace that sells something like that. Also some auto seal hoses would be great for those times when i do have several people smoking so i dont have to remind them to cover up their holes. But i cant seem to find those anywhere either. I just bought one of those small hookahs from smiley...and im planning on getting an SS in the near future but it would just be nice to be able to have a little more versatility with my 3 hoser. Scheetz
I know some multi hose hookahs have auto seals in the stem. I have never used them before as my 2 hose must be plugged, its a Social Smoke 2 hose Egyptian. 1 thing I can suggest if you don't care about looks is if you drink wine or your parents do or you cook with it. Take the cork and cut it down and narrow one end so you can plug the hose ports on the stem. This is what I do, it seals perfectly and I just pull it out, clear the vase, then pop it back in. Like I said it may not look that awesome, but it performs. The auto seals I do know have issues though. They can begin to stick or not work well at all. So while they may be great invention, they arent perfect. I just suggest getting rubber plugs or using cork.
DyinTuLive
why dont u plug one of the stems up with something around the house? maybe u can electrical tape over it, and put the other hose so it's right next to u and just unplug it when need be? WhitzEnd
is this the thing at mya that you were talking about?http://www.myasaray.com/store/item.asp?ITE...EPARTMENT_ID=36Does that mean that it will act the same at the purge valve that is on a standard 1 hose hookah. I thought these were just used to turn a single hose into a double hose hookah
ASUSEAN1
no my bad, you probably have to call mya and ask them for purge valves. i thought they sold them on their site to but you should be able to get em if you call
Scheetz
I think sean is talking about changing your 3 hose into a 1 hose with 2 check valves instead of hose ports. Am I correct on that?

imagelessdude
I love the invention. My two hose MYA I have one hose port regular, for solo use, and one with the autoseal/purge valve. That way when I smoke with friends, I [the experienced smoker] can hold my hose shut, but they dont have to worry about it, AND when I smoke solo, I just unplug the other hose and its the regular valve. imagelessdude
Mine was originally a MYA one-hose mini-orb acrylic, with a regular check-valve thing. The whole valve assembly is removable, and I bought the MYA auto-seal hose adapter, which fits in the same threaded opening. And it's odd that yours is rusting... its a MYA? Should be stainless steel?EDIT: OHH it ISNT a MYA, explains the rust and the welded on valve. Also, I remember one site that sold replacement ball-bearings for your valves? But I don't remember which one. MAYBE hookah-shisha... Edited February 16, 2007 by imagelessdude

zoddi
I've used a two hose with autoseal, and you can't clear them at all it seems. When you blow in, the valve shuts your side. At least the one I used was like that. When we've made our own hookah before, we had a main water chamber as well as individual water chambers for each of the hoses. This acts like a seal system as well, since it's easier to pull air from the main downstem than it is to pull water from the other chamber. But the problem with this is that you still can't clear it.
