lazyguy
can a bowl affect the taste of the tobacco? Cuz i have a pretty old clay bowl and im wondering if it makes my tobacco less flavorful. Thanks
cypress
It should not if the glaze is still in tact. If not, clay is porus and it might mix the flavors.
dmitri926
Bowls are very imperfect and not uniform...my glazed clay bowl had a few holes but only 3 of them were actualy good unblocked holes. I took a dremel with a drill and drilled out the other holes to make them good and unobstructed. The smoking experience was a lot better. Also it depends how you pack the bowl. What worked for me was taking foil, putting it over the bowl and making holes uniformly on foil using toothepick. Then take the foil off, and pack the bowl uniformly with shisha (sprinkle the shisha make sure it dont clump). Then put the foil back on. This way the shisha wont stick to foil and the shisha will burn up evenly.
