MrGuy
thought you were mushrat then with that picture! But anyway:try a bit of water round the seal or a damp paper towel.
mushrat
Ya, somehow my avitar reverted back to my old one..it's cool, though i did a double take too..can you send a picture of where the problem is and hoe you have it set up?
imagelessdude
are you putting the grommet on the hose and putting it or are you putting it in the nozzle and pushing the hose in it? try switching the way you do it, some hookahs are different or picky. Allia22
Before I ordered grommets, I used masking tape. Ugly as sin, but it got the job done. I wouldn't do that with the same piece of tape or else the adhesive will cure and be difficult to get off >.<

Also electrical tape comes right off with no stickyness
benmandude
i just use masking tape. It works wonders. Its not pretty but it does the trick.
jeffg
Why not try Plumbers tape, no sticky residue afterwards. Worked for me when i couldn't find a grommet for my first argileh.
cypherkk
A tight fit is all about girth. Some have it, some don't.

Some have it, some don't. maybe the hole is a little or a lottle worn out? I use silcone grommets. The hard black butyl rubber is more prone to sealing bad. So use whatever works for now but keep your eyes peeled for the better silicone grommets.
shisha fan
try some wet paper towels.
imagelessdude
I use masking tape when its a MYA hose going in an MYA stem. AMAZING fit.
Hamilton
my ghetto trick is wrap a strip of foil into about a half inch wide by 4-5inch long piece, take a wet paper towel, wrap it around it a few times, dont get it too thick. Then use that as a seal. I found foil alone doesn't create a good for shit seal.

But, I guess it could add a little? A little worn out just needs a little extra care.
