Chip
Hey I just thought I'd share a story with you guys about my experience at the Guess Hookah in Chicago. We got the bar around 12:30 with about 12 friends. We had just left our formal dance but either way we the place was really nice. It had a huge selection of stuff to get, we got three hookahs and smoked guava, fruit punch, and strawberry shortcake. Either way everything tasted great, there was a huge selection to choose from. Oh then as we were leaving I decided to get a few things before we left and since i had been drinking spending the money wasn't as hard as when i was sober. So i got a mya qt and havana tripple apple and am lovin it. well ya if your ever in chicago id hit that place up.

ASUSEAN1
i go to guess hookah for supplies. As for the bar, it is good, but there are definetly better places to go. 1 I am not much of a rotator guy, so i usually ask for one of the egyptains or acrylics. 2. service is slow. 3. I want my own damn pair of tongs. Is that hard to ask? The lady doesnt come around enough to adjust the coals (either putting on more heat or taking some off). I end up using my fingers instead which isnt the safest thing but it sure beats waiting 5 minutes before I can hit the hookah again because the hookah isn;t getting enough smoke. The store is amaing though. Almost every brand of tobacco, except tangiers unfortunately ( well atleast not yet). and all the accesories you need for legit prices

Or are THOSE illegal in Chicago now, too?
ASUSEAN1
there probably illegal haha. I guess it doesn;t really matter though, I havn't been to guess since thanksgiving. I still love the store but when I go to my local hookah bar it is free, and the service is good even when I am not paying so you know which bar I am going to chose.. Victim026
Why not just take your own pair of tongs from home? Or if worse comes to worse use two long keys from your key ring like chopsticks and move coals.....
KiKaL
I went with Chip that night and I really liked the place as well. The strawberry cheesecake was pretty damn good but felt like it could use more heat even though it had two charcoals. It's just didn't seem like it was hitting real well. The service we had for the most part was pretty good but I still would have rathered smoking out of a bowl I packed. The best part was definitely the store. The man there, I think the owner, was extremely nice and knew his stuff. Chip and I probably spent a good 20 minutes just talking to him about differnt things in the hookah world. I ended up leaving the store with a blue rotator hookah for my g/f, a box of 3 kings, 5 fumari 100g, 50g of HH black label (I have never tried it and he threw it in for free which was awesome)and a lebanese bowl. Overall I really liked the shop and am pissed that Indiana has nothing even close to a shop of that caliber.
Chip
ya i didn't know of any other places in Chicago but had head of it threw here so i figured id try it. It's much better than all of the hookah bars near me in Indy.

Im sure there are other people in chicago who can help you out.
ghostofdavid
I should open up a killer hookah bar with lots of hookah swag when I move back to the Promised Land (aka Indiana). But it wouldn't be near Chicago.
mcknight
I love that place dude! I have been there a few times. The guy who works there is named Jon and he's really cool. I have never been in there shorter than 45 minutes when just shopping, I have never smoked at the lounge. We shoudl totally meet up there and smoke some sometime. Lemme know!
