rez
I am still burning my tobacco after every session. I have read every suggestion on this forum and have tried almost all of them. After every session i remove my foil and i find that half of my tobacco is stuck to the foil (burned) and the other half is in the bowl (burned). I am using El naklah (sp?) melon.i have a shallow clay bowl with 5 holes in the bottom.i separate my tobacco with my fingers and lay it in the bowl until i make a mountain. once i have a mountain i push the peak of my mountain to the sides until it becomes flat.i try not to put a lot of tobacco in my bowl but the problem is my bowl is so shallow it barely holds any tobacco in it when i fill it to the top.i put one piece of foil over the top.i have tried punching a bunch of little holes with a needle and also tried a few small holes with a fork.i am using 3 kings quick light coal.i have tried using one coal and two coals.i have tried putting it on the edge and in the middle.my problem is that when i use one coal i dont get enough smoke. when i use two coals i get a lot of smoke but after 10-15min my smoke becomes very harsh.is my bowl the problem? or my setup.i also have the following shisha:naklah double applenaklah mixed fruitel naklah melon(forgot the brand) watermelonno matter what shisha i have the same problem with burning it.what should my tobacco look like after my session is over?any tips would be great. web250
2 things to try:1) Try to not push down your mountain, but rather sprinkle it in as a flat plane in the first place.2) Try 1.5 coals.
DizzyGuy
Biggest prob... shallow bowl. Shorter session and more likely to burn. And yes, try 1.5 coals... but try this, break it in to 3 equal pieces and put them on diff sides of the bowl
shisha fan
nakhla is a fairly dry brand of shisha, adding some glycerine may help.

rez
i have another bowl that is deeper but smaller. i will give that one a try. i think i will just buy a phunnel bowl.
Apollo
yeah nakhla just tends to burn because it is dry, besides that, it is nasty... try to find some wetter shisha, such as al waha, al fakher, or romman.
SAEPhoenix
For the harsh smoke after 10-15 minutes I would suggest clearing the chamber. Sometimes it is something as simple as stale smoke. Unfortuantely, with the quick lights you may burn it some in the end. I'm not patient enough for natural coals, and I usually have a small bit of burned shisha- but it is minimal.I would agree though, bigger bowl, and no mountain first, sprinkle evenly. rez
i think it may be my bowl. i think it is way to shallow and so it gets hot too fast and burns. i will try my other smaller but deepr bowl tonight.
djbomberto
add another layer of foil....that should slove your problem
ASUSEAN1
try putting less tobacco. i usually leave a gap between the foil and the tobacco. You really don;t need that much tobacco to have a long session. Also try mixing up the tobacco in the box/container before you pack your bowl to mix up the juices. The Dude Abides
Someone said to try a different brand. I agree. Try some AF or AA.
