Mya, Worth The Cost?

Recommended Posts

Hey, ive been looking for a new hookah, and i really like the way the mya saray's look, they look solid and beautiful. But are they worth the cost... I'm not expecting them to give supirior smoke qualitiy or anything, i just wana make sure it wont break on me or rust, or things allong those lines.

You were the one looking into the "vortex hookah" from hookah-shisha before right? All i can say is, i have that particular mya and even though i cut slits in the lower stem to act as a diffuser, after 2+ months there are no signs of rust whatsoever. It smokes beautifuly in spite of the fact that it takes a bit more than the average hookah to clean properly. Im completely satisfied with my mya and with what i spent on it. No regrets whatsoever. =) Its both beautiful and functional. Just my experience.

Yes, Mya Saray's are worth the price. But by asking that, are you implying that they are more expensive than the average hookah? I don't think that they are are unreasonable in price, unless you're getting one with a unique stem or cut crystal vase. 100 bucks for a quality hookah isn't unreasonable.

I have a Mya Saray "Vortex" or pyramid style hookah with 4 hose adapters plugged in to it and it is a great party hookah. It came with a carrying case, scimitar tongs, and some other goodies. I won't recommend who sold it to me to you, though because they tried to rip me off with other accessories it was supposed to have come with.

Some of the Mya Hookahs are absolutely beautiful! And I am considering one of there taller models down the road..I need to do some research on the stem first though...

If the stem is a straight tube, I say "Go For It"! However, If the stem is anything like the QT, I would steer clear...

I have the same mya glass 22" for 2 years. It has been my everyday smoker and there are no signs of rust. It still smokes like a champ and gives good smoke volume. The only problem in my eyes is the purge valve, you can't clear the smoke chamber. This isn't to big of a deal to me but otherwise I think mya's hit just as good if not better than any other hookah out there.

Whew, Okay.

I was worried for a minute lol. Have to have a purge valve, I guess I just don't have lungs of steel, but I like to clear the base every couple of hits. Just taste better to me. (Especially if I'm about to get a big hit, I always clear the base)

sorry, i should have been more clear. the purge valve just doesnt work as good as lets say a good egyptian. i like everything about my mya better than an egyptian besides the valve. It still clears smoke, just not all of the smoke. Since I hardly ever clear the chamber, unless it gets harsh, this isn't much of a problem for me.

yo, no doubt, man. Get the Mya. I have an acrylic: unbreakable. its my party hookah and it can seriously take a beating. Not to mention, it seals up perfectly, no leaks whatsoever. I happen to like the looks of more traditional hookahs more, but if you like the looks of a mya then youre set; snag one.

i have 4 mya's and every one is worth every penny paid. As said they dont clear all the way usually, but mine all clear enough to get rid of about 60-70% of the smoke in the base

You should be the first to try out the new diva mya Edited by unleashtheclown

I gotta break step.....

I used to think they were.. not so much anymore these days.... they are either unsleeved or the ones that break down have that damn aluminum downstem that leaves gaps.... problematic and just doent smoke as well as my traditional rigs.

Im done with MYA.....except for the hoses.
