Mathazar
No, I don't even know what he's talking about. But, I do have the same Sultan Hookah as he described, or close to it. My hookah is the exact same as the one you're about to buy, only I have a red vase and silver stem. The inner tubing is copper, where as it's supposed to be stainless steel. That's another reason why you don't want to get the metal bowl, because the metal bowl gets emits so much heat, copper heated to a certain temperature will emit poisonous gas. I'm not sure that the metal lbowl would actually get hot enough to cause the copper inner tubing to emit poisonous gas, but why take the chance. That another reason why NOT to buy the SocialSmoke hookah you're looking at, because the inner tubing is made from copper. You won't see the copper immediately, but after several uses the silver color will start to wear-away, and then you'll be able to see the copper underneith. Mathazar
Oh, yeah, now I know what he's talking about, as I only have 3 fins on the rubber grommet. Maybe what you need is a MOD hookah. www.hookah-shisha.com sells them for around 60 bucks, I think. What a MOD hookah is is a hookah with an acrylic vase, and the stem screws right into the vase making it completely airtight. If you think the Sultan hookah is going to be a problem for you regarding keeping it airtight, then perhaps you ought to consider The Odyssee MOD Hookah from www.Hookah-Shisha.com wyteboy........go check it out. No use wasting 25 bucks on a Sultan that is just going to cause you problems when you can have a MOD hookah that will always be airtight.
wyteboy
well I just won it, but didn't know about the copper til NOW :-P. Oh well, it will be a much better hookah probably than the other one I won! Thanks for all the input and whatnot! Also glad you have never had that problem, not like it sounds terribly hard to fix... the auction says the stem is stainless steel....are you saying it's actually made of copper and they're lying? NERV
the stem means the entire metal part, the inner tube of it may very well be copper and the outer part could be stainless steel
