jordanneff
I was expecting my hookah to arrive today. It said on the tracking info that it was on the truck. So from 9:30am - 5:20pm I was waiting, and waiting, and waiting (literally I was on my couch on the computer, next to the window). Then I got mad and checked the tracking info again, and it said that at 4:56 the package was left at the front door. I was like WTF? So I checked out front - nothing. Checked out back - nothing. Got really pissed and called FedEx. Some ignorant woman answered and I had to break everything down to her to get her to realize that I DIDNT GET THE PACKAGE and THE SITE SAID I DID. Finally she sent a thing to the driver of the truck to have him to a backup check and was like "if you don't recieve the package within the next 48 hours contact us again and we'll contact the shipper to file a claim." I officially HATE FedEx now. I was not only lied to about the package being delivered but the woman wasn't helpful AT ALL and didn't sound as if she even cared whatsoever. Oh, and I also checked all the houses up and down my block and no one had a package on their front stoop so now I'm just angry!
watson.amw
Damn that sucks. I've always had great luck with Fedex, never been late actually. But I do know, at least in Houston, they deliver until 8 so keep calling and pushing the issue 'til then and you can probably get 'em to come back around. Good luck. Allia22
A package I ordered in August is still floating around somewhere, probably circled the globe a few times. Granted that's USPS...

hookerman
There are usually 3 different scenarios.1)Usually when a friend that knows about such delivery , hides and waits for the truck to arrive, when the package is left and driver leaves, he will pick it up.2) They leave the package at the wrong house (neighbors house)3) Ashton Kucher is messing with you. You been punkd.

DownZero
I've had great service from FedEx. I've only had problems w/ UPS... but just that the package was a few days late, not a big deal but still sucked. You have to keep in mind that when talking to customer care reps, they are regular people like yourself... they DON'T care (Im mainly referring to bigger companies).. heh. They just get paid and there is only so much they can do. At least w/ a shipping company, there is insurance for any lost packages. I hope everything works out for you. Oh, and from experience and from a former customer care rep, don't talk down to the rep. You will get the most help if you talk to them nicely... no matter how hard that might be. You been punkd. It was #2. I called back numerous times basically harassing the fedex people (with kindness...sorta) and they finally got info back that the driver dropped it off at a certain address... an address that wasn't mine, but instead 5 blocks down my street. So I gave my neighbor way down my road who I've never met a little visit. He opened the package and was like WTF, so he put it back in the box and sealed it with duct tape and when I knocked on his door and explained he gave it to me - so now all's good.My hookah is a tad on the low end, but hey it worked. It was my first time setting up everything myself (all the other times I'd been to a hookah lounge) and my friend and I were in the car because it was real late and everywhere was closed and my house was too far away to waste on driving back there and then driving my friends back and so on, so we just set it up in the back seat haha. Unfortunately the flavor wasn't that good, and getting the smoke to come out thick was a pain and never 100% successful, but eh, I was proud of myself for it being my first time setting all the stuff up and not have anything major go wrong, especially like a coal falling and burning my car interrior haha. Well I felt I should update you all on that.PS: FedEx still sucks... because they can't read addresses Edited March 3, 2007 by jordanneff

rovelz
I've had good luck with fedex... although one time they put one of my packages, which had cuban cigars in it, in the side door, which i don't use because my apartment is on the 2nd floor of the house, and the back/side door goes to my roomy's bedroom. Not only that, but he put it on a small windowsill looking into the first floor apartment/flat. It was a small window which was up high, and no one in their right mind would look there for a package. Now, UPS, only problem i've had with them is that they don't ring the doorbell to have me sign for a package when i'm home. Although, since I used to work for them, I have the HR dept. number still in my cell phone. So if I do have a problem, I just call the people in charge at the distribution center. imagelessdude
When FedEx delivered my Smiley's $15 hookah, the hookah stem was sticking out of the box! They also bent the wind screen and brushes. I've had worse luck with UPS. Thats why I ALWAYS use DHL if possible. They actually care.
EvansLight
i hate DHL with a passion. IMO none of em are really all that good XD
jordanneff
Yeah, none of em are really 'the greatest' because they all fall short in certain areas, but if I had to go with one that I've had the least problems with it's UPS because they usually arrive on time, the truck gets to my area nice and early, and I've never had a damaged package from them.
