ZooJohnnyZETA
Hey again Wyteboy! I would say not too worry too much about getting hooked on the hookah. I smoke 1 or 2 bowls a day and I never get that "craving nicotine" sort of feeling. Then again I also smoke about 7 cigarettes a day too. I'm working on quitting that though. However my partner is a non smoker and smokes the hookah with me once or twice a day as well, and he doesnt get nicotine cravings either. Another interesting thing to note is that not all massell will have the same nicotine content. They all say 0.05% nicotine content on the label but after trying various brands you will find that that the strength of the nicotine buzz varies quite a bit from brand to brand and flavor to flavor. For instance you may feel no nicotine whatsoever from almost all Al-Waha flavors as where some Romman, Al-Fakher, or Nakhla flavors will make you feel like you just got slapped upside the head with a 2x4. As far as your question about the different brands versions of Strawberry go I have never tried Romman's so I cant really comment on it. But what I can say is "try try try!". If you interested in a flavor that no one has talked about, then save up another $5 and put it on your list of things to try. Theres a lot of massell in the world out there and everyone seem to feel slightly different about their oppinion on flavors. So the only thing you can really do is try everything you are interested in for yourself and see what you think of it. Its an expensive hobby, but a rewarding one
wyteboy
Thanks man! I am not too worried about getting hooked at least nicotine-wise, but maybe flavor wise lol I will stop bugging and asking about all these flavors, lol!! I'll just to review my nahkla and alwaha once I get my hookah, then decide about what premium to try first . Real quick, what Romman or AF have that buzz that will "knock me wita 2X4? any specific flavor over another that you have tried? I could do without that buzz for the most part... King Mo
anyone here love or NOT love the romman strawberry? ppl prefer it or the AF (or GS AF) strawberry? trying to decide which straw to get when I want to get premium stuff. thinking about getting both the AF and GS AF straw, but don't want to order 3 diff ones, lol.
Romman strawberry is decent, but pretty much the same type of flavour as Waha strawberry but lasts longer. Fakher Golden Strawberry is the best strawberry in my opinion.

Mathazar
Yep, King Mo hit the nail right on the head, Romman Strawberry tastes a LOT like Al-Waha Strawberry. But, I tend to prefer Romman more because the cut of the tobacco is nicer, it's got a better nose hit (it'll make your room smell all nice), and the taste is a tad bit better than Waha.....Sweeter! I'm not sure about the filtering of nicotine in the water. That question is best asked from an EXPERT like Sami over at Hookah-Shisha.com
Puff
ZooJohnny, you stated that you feel almost no nicotine buzz when smoking alwaha but if washed correctly lemon, licorice, and peach almost drop me to the floor and I smoke 2 packs of cigs a day. wyteboy
hey puff how do you "wash" the ma'assell correctly? i didn't even know you could wash it? lol Leaving for the airport now, back on thurs night, later fellas! If Romman tastes like alwaha (which i havent tried) then I think I will stick to AF for trying a premium strawberry adn order peach and the melon from Romman's brand when I decide to try it. That and wait for Reaperman's reviews on the Romman stuff
chr1z
and what about al qemah strawberry?
King Mo
hey Chr1z with regards to Qema, I have tried both apple and grape. Both of them are not as good as the 'fakher versions' of those flavours. this is mainly because you get this strong tobacco feeling (not so much taste) from them unlike the others where it's a smooth fruity smoke. The Qema flavours are probably the strongest I have tried, and the tobacco effect is something I don't look for, although for some it will be good. If you mix fakher with some Zaghlool (plain tobacco) then you will get a Qema type flavour. If you enjoy Zaghlool, and the feeling it gives you (for me I feel it in my stomach which isn't great) then you will like Qema. If you enjoy the regular fakhers and don't feel that you need something stronger, then I suggest sticking with the fakhers or the golden fakhers (which aren't better, just different )
Mathazar
wyteboy........with Romman Sweet Melon, if it tastes or smells sour like vinegar, than that means you got a bad batch, and you should send it back for a refund or exchange. I received two sour smelling containers of Sweet Melon, and I just thru them out. It was really gross. So, what I'm saying is that don't confuse a bad batch as being their normal Sweet Melon, because Sweet Melon is supposed to smell and taste like Sweet Fresh Honeydew Melon. I've had the fresh stuff before and it's quite good

The extra gliserine is a preservative that is to be washed off. But if you have boxes of alwaha and not plastic tubs DO NOT WASH because they do not contain extra preservative and are ready to smoke. One question: Why to wash out the glycerine? As far as I know Clycerine is not a bad substance, and use of more glycerine adds a lot of more smoke-density to the smoking. Sometimes, when I take my old, dry Nakhla Tobacco, I add some drops of 100% glycerine and it brings out more flavor and more smoke out of the tobacco. So WHY to wash it out ? greets, tobbsman
RuarriP
Hey fellas, I'm weighing in for Nakhla in this advice column (big surprise.) Double apple strawberry and mint are all awesome Nakhla flavours, Peach and Cola are cool too. Wyteboy, don't listen to these elitists advocating brands like Romman at twice the price. Nakhla's good stuff, and I swear by it. (although there are bad flavours to stay away from...mixed fruit being one) I like Nakhla and I don't care who knows it. cypress
What he needs to do is try a little bit of everything and decide what he likes. Some people like the expesive stuff and some people like the cheap stuff. Regardless, the best smoke you will have is the one you enjoy the most no matter how much it costs.
Well said Cypress! Words to live by! Its true that my favorite brands in general are Al-Fakher (mainly) and Al-Amir, but you know what? I have been smoking a rather large ammount of Nakhla as well lately. Nakhla may not be as flavorful in most cases, but it brings other unique traits to the table that many other brands don't have. Even the best Al-Fakher doesnt seem to get quite as thick as Nakhla or carry the same potent buzz. Somtimes I really like the unique flavors from Nakhla too. In the past week I have smoked Nakhla Strawberry, Cherry, Apple, Sweet Melon, and that elusive Nakhla Eskandarany Apple. And you know what? I have completely enjoyed all of those smokes in all aspects (flavor, buzz, smoke thickness, etc.). Maybe its a hint of nostalgia for the days of old when that was all I smoked, but it really has been nice to go back and experiance all those classics all over again. What I am trying to say is that no matter how much I appreciate Al-Fakher, Romman, Al-Amir, and other such premium brands I can still enjoy smoking that classic Nakhla brand massell. Theres just somthing about it that still after all these years relaxes me and puts a smile on my face Which leads me to a few questions, mainly for Mr. Bubble but anyone else who knows is more than welcome to answer them as well. 1. Where on earth can I buy Nakhla Eskandarany Apple!? Ive searched the internet high and low and I'm still stumped on this one. 2. I liked Nakhla Apple, Double Apple, Cherry, Strawberry, Mint, Esk. Apple, and Sweet Melon. However I really hated Peach, Apricot, and Mixed Fruit (the peach tasted like soap, the apricot was sickly sweet, and the mixed fruit tasted like moldy bannanas). What other flavors would you recommend I try?? Yup... even an experianced smoker like myself still goes back and trys new flavors from a classic brand every now and then

King Mo
@ZJZ my fav nakhla flavours are Double Apple, Eskandarani and Cherry. I've had the banana a couple of times but banana is not really a good tobacco flavour imo, but it is comparable with the more expensive banana flavours. Eskandarani is relatively common here, and to be honest, I would smoke that, just as easily as i would smoke Golden fakher esk. This is why I personally dont prefer that flavour too much, it is not 'special'. (apologies to you and HookahCulture who love that flavour ) My most relaxing flavour is cherry, and Al Amir make that fantastically.

I will start the MOMENT I get my hookah.... Didn't I say I was only gonna do this like once a week? LOL! Once I find my fave flavors and a good setup, then I'll slow down
