nothing cool in Canada period biggrin.gif

I believe that compared to where you are, everything in Canada is cooler!

Beer -- absolutely, hockey -- we kick a$$, personality -- you don't see too many terrorists targeting Canada (unlike some of our neighbours), fun -- the drinking age is lower... cool.gif

But when it comes to hookah/shisha, I admit we are sadly lacking... sad.gif

I'm sorry, but what? CANADA lost to the Blackhawks? (The Leafs are another matter entirely, and I think the GM is close to getting fired. Thank heaven.) I'm thinking more about the Worlds, the Juniors, all Women's hockey, the Olympics... You Americans have the population and all, but we have a six-month winter, and a whole bunch of dirty French guys (check out Slapshot for more information).

Where in Canada you going?

LOL...it's impossible to get Leafs tickets (every game sells out) so ppl travel. But the Leafs aren't exactly all-Canadian -- just Toronto and Ontario. Plus, the Leafs have been such crap the last few years -- but what incentive do the owners have to improve the team when every game always sells out for astronomical prices?

Hmmm...Casino and racetrack in Windsor, casino in Point Edward (north of windsor/detroit on the southern tip of Lake Huron). Casinos also in Thunder Bay and Sault Ste. Marie (both along the Lake Superior, though I75 goes right to "Soo" Ste. Marie). All are decent drinking towns, but try the local beer (Sleeman is good) -- only idiot freshmen students drink the expensive piss-tasting Molson Canadian. Niagara's always amusing if you can afford it -- Canada's crappy attempt at Vegas.

But I'd recommend Montreal if you can travel at all. It's definitely a fun town, Quebec beer is damn strong (8-9%) and tasty (and I'm not even from there), drinking age is 18 and alcohol is sold everywhere (unlike Ontario's damn government monopoly), and there are gambling machines in practically every bar. Casino and racetrack there too. Peeler bars are like the local pubs there, one in every town, and a couple hundred in Montreal. Everyone speaks English, but bring a list of French phrases (like "Deux Maudites et deux poutines, s'il vous plait," or "Tabernac!" or "Ou est le salle de bain?") just in case.

i think the age is 19, and its not legal but the authorities do about nohing to stop it besides maybe put it out but its a discussion for another forum

i'd advise you to edit your threads before you get in trouble talking about it Edited by ASUSEAN1
