Romman Shisha... Yuck

So my hookah came with 2 free little boxes of romman shisha. Do anyone of you guys like that brand? I think its nasty and I assume its not a good brand because it was "free".

Just cause its free with your pipe doesnt make it bad... some places let you pick Layalina for free.. and Layalina definately doesnt suck.

romman actually makes a few good flavors. everyone has a few that are hit or miss.

I personally think Romman is one of the best out there. It smokes real easily and gives me the thickest clouds out of all the other shisha brands every single time.

i personally like a few of the flavors, there not all bad. And Romman isnt always, free, its actually one of the most expensive brands, up there with starbuzz. The new ones are alot better IMO

mango flavors aren't that great in general. and grape is a hit and miss for every brand. Haven't smoked romman grape but their fruit cocktail and sweet melon are amazing. and yes, romman is one of the top brands out there. explain your set-up with grape.

Well i put shisha in almost to the top of the bowl. I put the cover ontop so there is about 1/4 of an inch of air between shisha and cover... I think. Then I put 2 coals on. I put 2 on because 1 doesn't create enough smoke but then when i put 2 on the shisha burns...........

okay.

1. acclimate the shisha. what i do is pack a bowl and let it sit in the bowl for a couple hours. stir it up before you pack it as well.

2. your "airspace" is fine.

3. use tinfoil, I have never had a good smoke with a screen.

4. what kind of coals are you using? If they are quicklites make sure they are cooked and red and ashed over or your going to get a bad taste. I smoke my romman with natural coals. Hell, I smoke everything with natural coals..

5. remember to start on the outside of the bowl with coals. on a small egyptian I have about 3 dime size coals around the edges and every 10 minutes I shake and rotate/move.

thank you so much. Yes I have quicklights and I light them the instantly put them on the bowl. I had no idea you had to let them sit awhile! Nice I can't wait to smoke again now.

oh and when you use tinfoil. what kind of tinfoil makes a difference. I just use standard reynolds not the thick stuff. poke 2-3 rings of medium holes probably same size as holes in screen. Like I have been taught, holes are for airflow not cooking the shisha. the tobacco only needs to be heated not set on fire. so 2 to 3 rings might not look like enough holes but trust me. about 5 minutes in your going to have nice flavorful thick clouds.

also, try breaking the coal in half and putting a piece on each side of the bowl, or even using 1.5 coals. heat management plays a big part in how the tobacco smokes.

I recently got some samples of Romane Shisha.I recievd four flavors Mint,Peach,Strawberry and Double Apple.We smoked all of them.I was happy with them in General.They did change with to much Heat. But if your heat managment in order they taste great.

I hated Romman until I got a few of those free samples, and now I actually intend to order more, grape and cherry in particular. The Mint isn't too bad, rather a fresh taste...I think I'll order some of the fruit cocktail next time.

mango fumari shisha is pretty tob notch, it is one of the few mango flavors iver ever tried that doesnt taste like fermented mangos. ive smoked AA AW Fusion paroahs mango flavors so i do have alittle experiance -= )

Mint and Peach were great, one of the better mints for me nice fresh flavor and not over powering.

Romman Strawberry and Peach ftw. the grape i tried before the new mix and it was kinda absent not bad but not alot of grapy flavor some wine in the base took care of that though... Ya i like romman though

I haven't tried too many Romman but was not nearly as impressed as I had hoped to be, especially seeing how expensive it is (2-4x more it seems). The grape in my opinion had a striking resemblance to al waha grape both in consistency, wetness, smell, and smoke. Pretty weak and meager.

I've had el basha grape that was phenomenal from smoking-hookah. However, I ordered a tub of it from hookah-shisha iirc and it wasn't nearly as good for whatever reason. Completely different it seems.

unfortunately, every flavor from fumari (except for lemon mint) makes me on the verge of throwing up. I have a real problem with tobaccos that put the flavor 'in my mouth' (like flavor you can taste in your mouth after all the smoke is completely gone) and not just sticking with the air. Everyone's got a tobacco that they just can't smoke or completely dislike, and Fumari is my one tobacco.
