AndrewM
I just got a new hookah for travel the other day at a local head shop and its really nice and all, and it uses pretty nice hoses but the hoses were coiled in the box and even soakin em (yes they are washable) in warm water and trying to straighten em out is impossible! anyone got any techniques to loosen up new hoses? They are so tight when if you try to pull the hose straight out to take a hit, it will litereally pull the hookah over.

imagelessdude
I usually let them hang overnight. Wow those hoses look like a piece of work. Funny... I swear I have the exact same hose... Sultan brand... but mine is one of the most flexible hoses I have!

Allia22
Yeah, I think the key is slightly stretching them. It's most likely the metal coil that's making it keep its useless form. Don't bother anymore with heat or soaking, I doubt that'd do anything...
AndrewM
yeah they are brand new only about 9 or 10 smokes outta them now, but yeah once i streatched em it seemed to make all the problems go away, the metal coil loosened up, and with time and usage they will get better but these are just travel hoses, im going to get some nice 80 inch blue / silver cobra heads for the home peice
sicklecow
Hey, I have those hoses! Hmm... I don't really remember having to do much work to straighten them out when I first got them, though. Sorry buddy.
