Back From Syria :) With Some Nice Tips

Recommended Posts

Hey,

Well, this is me first post, i just felt i had to share some stuff here. My names Scot, I live in the netherlands, so hookah is pretty popular here! I got my hookah some time back and had the great chance of going to syria with a friend where he lives. Learnt alot of stuff from the locals there, maybe you all know it already so sorry if so.

When you first buy tabacco. Try find pure glycerine ( 95%) to mix it with, not the commercial flavoured things you can buy. Also mix in a little bit of honey, or water, if both, put only a tiny but of water. Mix well, then the next day, mix again. And enjoy ! I tried it and it seems to work pretty well.

I also found a new flavour i had never seen before called bahraini. Anyone heard of it ?

you can also buy a special foil there, much stronger, but thinner than normal foil. Works wonders, dunno if you can get it in the states.

They told me the milk thing does work well for any sceptics, but i havnt tried it myself yet.

Also, they told me 100s of times over, never to use the self lighting coal. Mainly cause its unhealthy and im guessing not many people mind too much but the pure wood burded coal works alot better !

Anyway, im gonna light up with some wine in the base smile.gif

ciao

First off, most of the tobacco i smoke would not take well to adding extra glycerin or honey. Its already got some in it, and adding extra what overly wet the mixture, and muddle the flavor.

And baharini is a popular variation on apple if i remember right.

You can buy special hookah foil here too, but for heavy duty foil works best. Theres no real way to increase the tinsel strength of regular aluminum foil, other than making it thicker, if i remember right.

Milk does work, why im still trying to figure out, but it does.

Self lighting coals really arent that horrid for you. Even with wood coals your still inhaling burnt carbon biggrin.gif the only real bad thing is the stuff that makes them self light, and as long as you fully lite them and make sure theres none left, then there just as safe as regular wood coals.

And yes welcome to the forums biggrin.gif
