Should I Return This Hookah For A Different One?

yeah, more tobacco man. not all the way to the foil, I usually leave a little bit of a gap, I always get more flavor doing that, just takes a few more puffs to get it up to speed. also if you are going to stick with the screen, at least use it right, you got it upside down buddy also make sure your other hoses are sealed up, you could be losing flavor due to more air than smoke. also I have noticed that when I poke more holes I have less flavor. you breathing in air through all those extra holes so you get a bad air/flavor mixture. but more tobacco, get some better quicklites, or even better natural coals. all you do is set them on the bbq for 10 minutes and they are done. red hot, no tasted imparted into flavor, and no chemicals. meant for smoking hookah.

also when you pack your bowl. mix up the juices with the tobacco. I always transfer my tobacco into a container from the boxes, if it comes in boxes. and stirring up all the flavor with the tobacco, I always do this before each session. Other then that, make sure your hookah is nice and clean, no residue.

More tobacco. Dump the screen, and go with foil. And those Diamante quicklights... Their finger coals are good, but I've heard those quicklights SUCK. Also, you mention that your flavor is dull. Please realize that smoking a hookah does not have the same flavor experience as, say, eating a Starburst. Your expectations may be too high. Those lovely pictures of ripe red fruit on the boxes of the tobacco are not really representative of the quantity of fruity (or other) taste you will get. Some tobacco brands have a more pronounced flavor to them, but most of the time it can be quite subtle, and it's never a super fruity candy taste like some people expect. Maybe you are doing everything right, and just don't really like hookah as much as you thought you might... Just a thought.

Actually I use an upside down screen and have had much success. It puts more room between the shisha and the screen which lets you pack the bowl higher and use more heat. Works great for me, dont know why everyone dogs the screen. Foil tends to sag and touch the shisha which in turn results in a nasty tatse in your mouth.
