Jones
You won't be able to light natural coals with that, I have a similar lighter used exclusively for lighting quicklites. Good Natural coals require lots of even heat, making your average hot-plate or range stove ideal. Sorry bud, crack lighter just won't cut it. Although as I'm sure everyone else will attest to, natural coals are the way to go.
maxy3546
I use naturals: my stove is one of the ones with the electric coils that glow and heat the pan/pot. I just lay out a few nice chuncks of coal directly on the heating col, turn the heat on full, and by the time im done setting up the hookah ive got a couple red hot coals waiting for me. GordonMac
Can you buy natural coals at the local supermarket?
Victim026
No your still going to need to get them from a Hookah shop.
nuschultz
If you buy natural lump charcoal, you can use that on your hookah. Make sure it is all natural. No chemicals can be used on it. ANd always avoid charcoal briquettes. Those will literally kill you, due to the chemicals and carbon monoxide.
Erica
QUOTE (Victim026 @ Mar 5 2007, 09:27 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>No your still going to need to get them from a Hookah shop. You can buy them at any store, so long that they are 100% natural. cafesaden
oh and the all-time fastest way to light natural coals is: (some might disagree)put them in a fireplace that has been going for a while right on top of other red hot coals. lights in a minute or less. or a propane torch (this is how the lounges here light them)but on a regular basis i just throw them on my bbq for 10 minutes and they are good to go.
