GordonMac
How often do you guys clean your hoses? Also I have a syrian hose and it has like little sweatband things around the handle of the hose and its very hard to wash the hose with those because they get all wet. any suggestions? maxy3546
if you wanna keep water off the outside of the hose, fill a coffee mug or something with warm water and dip one end of the hose just unter the waterline, suck on the other end until youve got some in the hose, swish it around while covering the ends, then let the water out: repeat. cafesaden
there was a post I dug up a while back about the jump rope technique. it works amazing.basically you swing the hose over your head like your going to do a jump rope but instead just smack the hose down on the ground in front of you. repeat a few times. take your hose over to the sink and put the whole hose in the sink. take a hose grommet and turn it around, creating a nice seal. put it up to the faucet, and viola. also i wouldn't clean that syrian hose, I doubt it's washable. I really doubted people's claims of how rusty and dirty the inside of a hose got until I opened one up for myself. Had a mya washable that i split open to see dirt and rust and what not. Now I only smoke out of clear vinyl hoses from home depot. like 3 bucks for 20 feet of it and 100% completely washable.my .
JonJonello
well i kind of do the jump rope technique when i clean my hoses, first i rinse them with warm water and blow any ash out, then i hold one end of the hose and hold the middle of the hose, then i start spinning the hose while blowing out of the end that i am holding. i've found that this works well for me, it gets out any excess water and debrees that might still be in it.
