LuxOR541
Hey there. I've got a buddy who is flying to Boston tomorrow for the St. Patrick's day weekend. He was wanting me to find out if there are any good hookah destinations (shops, lounges, etc.) in Boston. Anyone from Boston or know of any places there to check out? Thanks a bunch.Nick

LuxOR541
thanks a bunch. he's staying near Harvard/Soldier Field so that is really close to Arax. only 2.5 miles. Is there anything there that can't be bought online or anything in particular to look for? What brands do they carry?
al-bab
QUOTE (LuxOR541 @ Mar 14 2007, 06:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>thanks a bunch. he's staying near Harvard/Soldier Field so that is really close to Arax. only 2.5 miles. Is there anything there that can't be bought online or anything in particular to look for? What brands do they carry?I have been to a bunch of the Armenian stores in Watertown...but i don't think I've been to Arax. The stores just sell Nakla, 3kings and some othe rnatural coals. Nothing really impressive as the Nakla is not the new premium flavors.
maxy3546
Arax is pretty solid, theyve got a shisha section about the same size as the cheese section at stop & shop, thats where i get almost all of my stuff, I know for a fact the have al fakher and al quemah (if he's into that), nakhla is a given, havanah, lots of stuff i cant remember off the top of my head, but its definitely worth a visit. Allia22
Quick question: how is Al Qemah? I've been wanting to try it for a while now.
LuxOR541
I have not tried Al Qemah, but I have a friend who has tried one of the flavors (not sure which one) and he said it was basically a high nicotine heavy duty al fakher. He said it was not for the faint of heart. I would be willing to try it if it were available in anything smaller than 250gram tubs.thanks for all the help guys I told Aaron about that shop earlier and he said he would check it out and call me when he got there. He's a big AF fan as am I, and if they have Havana too that is a big plus. I'll have to have him pick up a couple tubs of Havana Eskandarani Apple for me.... That stuff is awesome. Probably my fav. apple.Nick
maxy3546
a friend of mine picked up a tub of al qemah apple cuz it was the ,ost expensive so he figured it was the best (one of those people) i was pretty disappointed by it, the flavor wasnt anything to write home about, and i had an intense (INTENSE) headache after. so i wouldnt reccomend it, but i know there are people who adore it so, i dunno if you see small packages pick one up to try

Hookah_Bob3
I've never been to any of those bars mentioned above except Tangierino, and be forewarned, there's a $25 minimum PER person and each hookah is $30. I hear Mantra is also like that, except they make you spend a lot for drinks before allowing hookah (not certain on that though)
