suicideguy
Hey guys, I've recently been experiencing irritation in my throat whenever I smoke and I have never experienced this until recently. I have a Mya QT with a Tangiers large phunnel. Whenever I go to take a hit, it makes me want to cough really badly and I'm not sure why all of a sudden I'm getting this problem. It never happended for the longest time and now it started kind of out of no where. Could it be that my body just doesn't like Tangiers? I used to smoke Nakhla before I bought some Tangiers and the Nakhla never affected me until recently either.I use at most two 3 kings charcoal and usually 1 for my Tangiers and my friends love the Tangiers but it's so bad I would rather not smoke. ASUSEAN1
im guessing your coming down with something, my guess would be strep or jus a bad infection. I would say jus stop smoking anything for a week or so and you should get better. If you have strep, you will need some meds
jerjer72
Yeah same thing happened to me today. I was smoking mint and coughed a few times cuz it tingled my throat. I have a slight cold though so that could be why.. sucks when you can't smell much cuz now I'm not sure if I really liked the mint or just didn't smell the taste or whatever lol. I don't know if smell would effect taste in smoke or not.

cypherkk
My friend cannot smoke tangiers without coughing. One time he even tried to "power" through it. I laughed as he rolled around on the concrete coughing like and asmatic at an smoking convention. Its very strong and if you don't smoke regularly tangiers can be a bit rough, especially if you are trying t get a lot of smoke. staygone
All my buds can't take tangiers straight without coughing, they say it's "throaty", my guess is because Tangiers is so strong. I just mix "weaker" stuff with it to solve that issue with them.
suicideguy
I always put ice in the base. Also, I had this problem the last two or so times I smoked before going back to college (I couldn't bring my hookah back with me ) and didn't think anything of it because I wasn't feeling 100%. Now I am feeling 100% and I'm still getting it.Should I try to break the coal up into two pieces and then put the pieces on opposite sides of the phunnel?
