cocothehookahman
hey all. While smoking Al Waha for the first time, me and my friends noticed it didnt give nearly as much smoke as Layalina or Romman did. We are using an Egyptian 3-hosed hookah, with a standard bowl, 1 layer of foil, and the silver-coated foils. Is the heat management for Al Waha different from the others? Any help would be appreciated.

The heat on AW is very forgiving, but hey, it could be other things too.
jerjer72
I smoked it for the first time today and had just as thick smoke as I do with Romman. Either it was your heat management or the particular flavor you smoked. I read that different flavors tend to have different amounts of smoke thickness for some reason. I did notice however that around 35-40min later it got thinner and then I read.. oh.. it only lasts 40min lol. I was used to Romman lasting at least an hour to an hour and a half and then you can flip the tobacco inside the bowl so you can get another whole hour of smoke with the same tobacco. All in all it was a better experience taste wise for me smoking this compared to Romman. It wasn't as harsh tasting. I could actually smoke this stuff. Only thing is I am not sure if I was tasting my coals a lot cuz I could taste a hint of what my finger coals smell like..lol.. so I think I was also tasting the coals. The taste besides that was good. It was weaker then the Romman which was good. Only thing is it doesn't last nearly as long at all but I don't mind filling another bowl after or just having a 40 min session. Now I just need to figure out how not to taste the coals. I think for 10 min I was smoking just coals. >_<
Allia22
I agree, I haven't been getting as thick smoke with my AW. I think I'll try punching more holes in my foil to remedy it next time.
Apollo
i have found that some flavours, like orange, dont give as much smoke, but others, liike mint, give plenty of thick smoke... I think a large part is how you pack the bowl and the amount of heat... remember more heat gives more smoke, but also can give more harshness
VDDZ
you may have acquired a bad or stale batch. I've recently fell in love with al-waha, for only six bucks a tub, it can't be beat. I've tried cherry and apricot and, besides the latter tasting weird, I've been very pleased.
