Shavo989
Move it around the outside of the bowl where the tobacco is while avoiding the part over the phunnel itself (think like a doughnut or something). jhansengranger
QUOTE (ASUSEAN1 @ Mar 19 2007, 06:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>two coals, put one on each side but not hanging over the edge. make sure the foil is not pushin against the holeWord, also, if foil keeps getting sucked down and covering big hole in center, poke a hole right in the middle. speel
Ok I just put on another coal il letcha know how that goes
phr0
check for leaks by taking the coal off and putting your hand on the foil and taking a puff and see if you can feel it sucking. Make sure the ball baring in the valve is in place, sometimes a tap will fix it up.

phr0
try switching back to one coal once you got it going.
hookahmike
Next time split coal in 1/2, lite & place 1/2 on either side (what I use to do b4 my baffle ) Just gotta keep moving them when the smoke gets thin or harsh (the dreaded 'HEAT MANAGEMENT' )QUOTE (phr0 @ Mar 19 2007, 09:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>try switching back to one coal once you got it going. Scheetz
I just use 1 3kings 40mm and move it around the outside circle as I go. When I reach the half way mark its time to put a new one on. And I finish off the circle. Works alot better than putting 2 coals on at once, thats to much heat for any tobacco. I have previously tried the 1/2 and 1/2 and found it to suck pretty bad. So I have kept with the 1 coal going in a circle.
tlmasonaea
I always use three half coals situated all around the edge of the phunnel where the shisha is. It's never failed me.
Allia22
I torch it. Seems to work for me, though lately I'm lacking in flavor... Why must patience be so hard?
hookah hippie
I have a rather large hookah and I use 2 full coals but add a third when it seems right
