How To Store Shisha

Recommended Posts

Pretty sure this has been discussed before might wanna search for it but the fridge works or someplace that is cool and dark (closet, basement) It says on the packages to store in a cool dark place but if the container its in is opaque then just a cool place will work.

I would say if you have a foodsaver ( http://www.foodsaver.com ) get one of the sealable tupperware containers, put the shisha in that then suck all the air out of that. My mom has one and it keeps coffee fresh for years, fish in the freezer for 3 years, open it up tastes like the day you caught it! Just an idea happy.gif Edited by Echo_419

This has been discussed many times and the general ruling was that your tobacco will dry up if it is in the fridge. Also someone conducted an experiment and if you leave your tobacco, the juice will evaporate... so essentially don't leave your tobacco in the fridge or sun. Try to leave it in a shady place.

+1 Ziplock all the way, if your a STRICT al-waha buyer like i am, then youll know once you get it out of the 9 freakin bags and wrappings it comes in, you have no choice but to ziplock it, even if its in tubs.... ziplock it, those tubs expand / contract and let air in, your shisha will be shi-shit in no time flat.

i find that a fridge is not nessecery, store it yes, cool dark place, keeps it moist and firm yet still comes apart easy, the bottom of a closet, or on a shelf in any cool place, or you can just smoke it all and not have to store it smile.gif

EDIT: a VERY bad accidental spelling of "ziplock" Edited by AndrewM

Ziploc just came out w/ a screw top container that will hold about 300G (I am putting my stuff in there since it is only a little bigger than a starbuzz tin biggrin.gif)
That goes in my shisha cabinet in the bsmt.

all forms of tobacco should be stored in a cool, dark, dry place with optimum humidity being around 70%. Sealable bags or jars (sealable kind such as a pipe tobacco jar) works wonders.

DO NOT REFRIDGERATE TOBACCO!!!! Fridges today are designed to pull moisture out of the air in order to preserve food longer.
