LuxOR541
I dunno... I picked up some easy lites on my portlnad trip this last weekend, and one of the shops had some Diamantes too, so next weekend I will Head back up there to review a couple cafes, I'll pick some up to compare. I don't mind being a guinea pig. Funny thing... I remember some dude a while back asking if you could find Diamantes in Portland. Did he Look? LOL They're in about 50% or more of the real hookah shops in the area.Nick

Erica
I have never tried to fingers… but the Jap Dias are NASTY!! If you think that the Easy Lite Japs stink.. these BLOW them out of the water. Not only that but they don’t last as long…
AndrewM
I use the diamante coals. they are crap. if you buy the boxes sometimes you get a whole box that got wet or something and the coals will explode when you light them. or you can get lucky but i use the Nour wood coals now for stove lighting. MUCH better. plus you go thru those easy lights so fast and they smoke wicked harsh twards the end of their life. ide stay away from them. 3 kings makes a good easy light, or the jap silver squares. these diamantes... IMO, are gunna kill me lol. i have the burn marks to prove it.
Glottis
I actually prefer the Diamante finger-style coals to Nour; they seem to burn a bit cleaner. Too bad I can't seem to find them anywhere.

xpimpitox
Def NO on the diamante japanese style coals! These things explode like a mother and have the nastiest taste to them. Ive only had one good experience with these outta 2 boxes I have owned because they were readily available. if your gonna go china made japan coals, id go for the easy lites or the harder to find starlight coals which burned at a lower temp, had no taste, but didn't last very long. Authentic golden charcoals FTW even though they are more expensive.
mushrat
Well, to be honest, the coals they sell and use at the local place, thus I have at home, Alsakr Coals, just plain suck. They don't stay lit OR they burn to fast, OR the build up this really thick ash layer and you have to ash them every 5 minutes and frankly I don't want to use them.II personally like Nour fingers the best but some folks here and on the inside say the Diamante Fingers are about as good as the Nours and to be honest, they are considerably cheaer. Now I do NOT want to sacrifice quality for saving a little, but if they really are as good, I don't see spending 2X as much either.Ah the joys of figuring this shit out... Should have the final lease this week. The landlady and I worked out our differences on the preliminary lease version and my lawyer says its ok.... ioannisds
Diamante finger coals are actually great. Yashman19 steered me toward them, as they are sold at the local shop we both frequent, and like you all have said, they are cheap. I've never tried their ql coals, but all I have ever heard is that they are utter shit.
