jordanneff
So yeah, some of you may know of the new hookah I got in the mail yesterday. Anyway, so I was assembling it and after I was finished (so I could sit back and take a nice look at it) I noticed it wobbled slightly. Now I know the glass bases are hand blown so yeah I didn't expect it to be perfect, but I figured the weight from the remaining parts would weight it down so it'd just be like slighly leaned to one side by a few degrees. But no, it still wobbles pretty easily. I got it from h-s and they normally have base protectors with their order but my hookah has the genie base (very sexy base might I add haha) so it didn't come with one because it was too big. Any ideas on a decent way to make it stop wobbling? I mean I don't want to like have to stick it in a box of sand or something crazy like that, but maybe some adhesive I could stick under one end that would keep it from wobbling? samildanach
chop one of teh legs of the table that ur hookah is on? nah seriously, try blu-tack ( as it is known in the uk ) not the most aesthetically pleasing solution, but it will stop ur base from wobbling
jordanneff
Cool, Im pretty sure I know exactly what you're talking about, as the name is what we call it here (or at least what I call it haha). It's that sticky blue crap people use to hang posters and stuff on their walls, right? If so I might make a trip out to wal-mart, cause I can get a whole bunch of it for like $2 there. The place I ordered my hookah from had them, it's just my hookah base is too big for any of them that's all.
hookahmike
For my old Egyptian, I got some adhesive-backed rubber (could use rubber, cork, etc) and stuck strips of it on the bottom. Sounds like a plan? Edited March 23, 2007 by hookahmike
