aldonb1
hey, i actually have that EXACT model in my dorm.It heats jap coals fairly quickly. i'd say 4-6 minutes. it just takes a while to heat all the way up. so what i do is just turn it on high while ur setting up ur hookah. that way when ur done setting up the coals will be done. id say allowing time for the stove to heat up + coals it would be 12 minutes or so. DizzyGuy
Eh, I wish that I would have gotten that model instead of the coils to heat up coals... but yeah, for japanese style or natural style those would work good... for quick lights, that'd work, but why not just use a lighter? lol
Mr. Hookah
i have that exact one. It works really good. I like to put a piuece of tinfoil over it then just pout it on high and go get all my hookah shit. By the time im done packing shisha setting up hookah and the hookah chill area its done which is about 10 minutes or so.
Bean
I wish i had gotten one like that, i bought one that has a coil instead of a flat surface. Its nice for quicklights but for japs not so much. Im thinking about getting one like that though.

kornkitten42
i picked up a coil hot plate at walmart for like 7.50. It was well worth the investment imo.i use three types of charcoal and i put all three on there (naturals, ql and japs)I just set it on there and get everything else ready to smoke. I like this a lot easier because i dont' have to hold the coals in a pair of tongs to light them, therefore my carpet has less burn marks. (by less, i just mean not acrewing a new burn hole everyday!) ( and yes i probably have about 10-12 burns in my carpet, but i have berbur carpet (barf) so it doesn't show as much when you steam clean! woot woot! cypherkk
I've been using that exact model since xmas. It heats up perfectly, and cleans easy, It even heats natural coals.
