Hookah Joe
Hey guys, Joe here. Been off for about two weeks, had some laptop problems. My hard drive crashed, and I had to call HP for a new one. Well, It took a long time to fix the problem, but it's fixed. As a couple of you may know(or none at all!) I turned 19 on sunday. I plan on ordering my first hookah from hookah shisha some time this week. Im getting a few extra coals, and some extra shisha. Their live help + hookah forum= hookah einstein! I've learned so much. I plan on using a money order, and ordering tomorrow hopefully. I still have one more problem: my mother. Im thinking that after I order, I will explain it to her when it arrives. Ofcourse, she would ask what the big box was. Hopefully, when I explain to her it's an herbal blend mixed with molasses and fruit pulp( i plan on telling her that, rather than it's tobacco), she might calm down. But, I won't have to explain until next week. Sorry for the little rant, still nervous and needing some support here. Atleast my laptop is working again Thanks,`Joe
Wonder Boy
I hear ya on the mother-front. My parents are seriously anti-smoking, no matter what the source. (Not like activist anti-smoking, but they would be dissapointed if I smoked cigarettes and the like when I was younger)That's a bold move to order it and explain when it arrives. I hope you don't torment yourself worrying about it. When my mother found out about my hookah, I think she was slightly dissapointed as I had previously stated, but she was relieved to know that it was not illegal. It might help for those to be the first words out of your mouth, that it's legal. The hookah equipment might be frightening to mothers who don't want their children exposed to "harmful" influences, and it might be wise to at least partially set her worries aside with that preface.Otherwise, good luck, enjoy your new hookah, and happy birthday! The King
My parents don't know i have one, they would just be dissaproving about it, like they know about hookahs but as most parents, theyre agaisnt smoking. Good luck, make sure to make it clear it's not for drugs. Edited March 27, 2007 by The King

Haha, you're like my brother I never knew. I've been thinking of it nonstop. I plan on telling her its all legal. Its not about whose right or wrong, just that I'm being honest, and that I want to be able to smoke in my room without worrying. Odds are, most of the time I'd be outside Anyway (we hit 79* today in nj!) You know, after my neighbors call the cops a few times. After they see its nothing bad.... Should be good. I just dont want it to be a problem. Hopefully its as simple as: " mom, I smoke. Not cigarettes, not anything illegal, let me show you" :: Her being disapointed, possible yelling:: Hopefully after that she understands, and atleast leaves me alone.
