jordanneff
So yeah, today a friend and I were in a fabric/craft store (I'm working on pimping out my own little hookah den, or as my mother calls it, my 'hookah hut') and we were looking around for stuff and I've been looking for a cast iron little plate/skillet to let my coals heat up in and to carry from one place to another, and then something caught my eye. I saw this little tray on 3 legs and I was like "that might be nice for my coals" and then right next to it I saw a little pan type thing with a handle that fit ever so conveniently on top of the tray thing. The tray was $2 and the pan thing was $1, I had to buy them! I haven't tried them out yet but I don't really see how they couldn't work. Here are some pics of it. I added a quarter in the last one for size reference. if anyone wants to know where I got it, you could probably find it at jo-ann fabrics (where I was) or a similar store like michaels craft store, etc.. yashman19
Only problem I can see happening is the coals conducting too much heat and getting the handle too hot. This of course might not be the case, and if it is, you can easily fabricate something that would fit over the handle to protect your hand, but a good find regardless.
