Hotplate + Stargate

Will a hotplate without coils light stargate and other natural coals, i am tired of 3kings and want to try the coals in most hookah lounges. I dont have a gas stove, and dont want to put coals on an electric coil. I like the Aroma brand at target...do they work?

yeah it dont see any reason why it wouldn't work. Most people from here bought the target one too. As for me, I just break out the propane torch, then I am usually go to go in 2 minutes tops.

I have an aroma hot plate yes it does work for coals but be sure to but it where the plate is hot i sat there for 20 minutes the first time i used it going what the.... pushed it over and it heated up in no time

i also use a propane torch, but I am considering buying a hotplate because usually (when I used to put my coals on the BBQ) I prepare my hookah while my coals are lighting.

Also, you won't be dissapointed with the stargate coals. Honestly the best coals you can buy.
