Well, I would talk to social smoke, as they are the people you bought from. It seems the majority of hookah retailers are more than happy to help. smiley could give you some advice as well. ASUSEAN1
you are suppose to rest the glass sceen on the tobacco. it works better with natural coals but if you break up quick lights that will work to otherwise its easy to burn the shisha
cafesaden
yeah that is pretty normal, you fill the bowl up until the screen just barely rests on the tobacco so it is balanced. just make sure you don't get the coals in the holes/crevices, or your tobacco is done for. Its ok that the glass touches the shisha. Before you place it on your Hookah. Make sure to blow gently from the bottom of the bowl. Hold the screen in place when doing this. This will but air ways between the shisha leaves. Then plae the bowl on your hookah. Light one 33mm or 4omm broke in hslf light eavh half and place it on the edges oppisite of each other. Let it sit to aclimate then flip the coals rounded side down. Then smoke away. When you use a smiley bowl you don't need as much charcoal in order to smoke.Good Luck SmileyAlso fallow what Cafesedan explains also is good advice.Smiley
cafesaden
yeah i think it is lopsided on one side for easier removal, because they all seem to be like that

So this is why all my tobacco hits wonderfully after the first "shake" of the coals.
jitter
hmm, i actually got to test it out last night with a bowl of sb irish cream followed by sb white peach. both of course were amazing, anyways it was my first time for natural coals ( amazing ) and smileys bowl ( amazing ) however i liked using foil with the bowl better then letting the screen sit on the shisha, i dont knwo im wierd like that. Overall, the only thing that was wasted money was buying a tundora hose, it did not fit my abyss, it would fall out, so my friends and i got a knife and cut it to adjust to fit only to find that the silver lining to strengthen the tube was rusted b4 any use. Anyways, thanks for all your guys help + dont get that tundora, the mya washables are the sh*tP.S. holy crap member # 3000 Edited March 31, 2007 by jitter

DrunkenWizard
Back when I used to use smiley bowls, I always had to fight with the screen to get it to stay on just right. Back then I never let the screen touch the shisha. Now days I just use the funnel bowl with no worries. Gonna have to try a smiley bowl again since it's been over a year since I've smoked with one.
