Hammerhead
OK newbie questions here. How do you know when the bowl is finished? Does it stop producing smoke, start to taste harsh or ? Also how many coals do most people go through on a bowl of shisha on a small hookah (mini Mya to be exact)? I am enjoying my new hookah and had a few good smoking sessions today! I really enjoy it so far. Not sure about the buzz factor but I need to get the equipment and coals down just right first. Thanks in advance for the help.Chris
ShishaFred
When the flavour is not enjoyable or nowhere to be found , when there is no more smoke. If you look under the aluminium foil , it should be a hard dry puck.

The King
For mine, and my bowl is a pretty small clay one, I usually use 2 quicklights, one at a time, for a bowl. but in between I mix the shisha up becuase the bottom is in better shape then the top.and I sometimes sprinkle just a bit of fresh shisha on top of the bowl before the second coal. web250
When it gets harsh and the smoke is non-existant. The tobacco inside will also make a "puck" kind of shape
