haddad33
Hello everyone, i am trying to buy a container full of hookahs, but which ones are wanted more? Chinese style or Egyptian style, and why? Can you please help?
Allia22
ROFL Chinese hookahs are pretty much junk. Egyptians are the way to go.Oh, whoops, there was a why that was asked. Chinese = cheap manual labor, they usually try to just fill their quotas. Don't get me wrong, there are a FEW good Chinese ones, but they're typically crap. Egypt is where hookahs are more popular, and it's just easier to find something quality if it's coming from there. ZooJohnnyZETA
Well, it kind of depends I suppose. A well made Chinese hookah will be better than a poorly made Egyptian hookah (like the ones you find in local headshops). However, a well made Egyptian hookah (Like Hookah-Shisha's or Social Smoke's) will be far better than the best made Chinese hookah. So I would say that if you are able to get high quality well made Egyptian hookahs than that is definately the way to go. However, if you do not have access to high quality Egyptian hookahs than your better off going with Sultan's Chinese made hookahs instead of cruddy light weight low quality Egyptians. LuxOR541
Haddad....I would really like to see a reputable dealer start carrying some really nice Syrian pipes, especially one hosers. hookah-shisha.com has some great Syrian hookahs, but unfortunately I think i got one of their last single hose models.Well made Egyptian pipes and Syrian pipes are hard to beat. Cheap chinese pipes are just pure crap. MYA pipes are a proven brand. I'd be skeptical of anything chinese unless it's a MYA. If you are planning on Importing a whole container of hookahs to get a cheap price, I would get an assortment of egyptian and syrian hookahs, and then get your Chinese hookahs domestically from MYA. Can you get a few samples from the place you are contemplating getting a container from? Construction is the biggest issue. If they are all stainless, or stainless over a Brass core, or in the case of my beloved syrian, SOLID brass, you are probably going to be ok. Also check the quality of the welds/solder joints. And check to make sure the purge valves actually work. Good luck
web250
There is really no such "Design" as Chinese. Chinese refers to the site of production, whereas Egyptian usually refers to the style. It's very possibly for example to have a Chinese egyptian (Egyptian style made in China)

Lakemonster
Its important to understand that there are junkers on both markets. Each contry puts out high quality product and inferior product... its not so much where you buy or even the style of either.... but that you narrow down who is making the quality product.A few folks have mentioned Syrian hookahs..... theres an angle worth persuing. Everyone carries Chinese and Egyptian hookahs.... why not consider getting in the Syrian market and avoid such feirce competition?

Anyway, MYA is the only good chinese brand I know of well... its the only chinese brand. All of the other crappy chinese hookahs you see are unbranded pieces of junk that you find in headshops inside the mall.

If there are other chinese brands of hookahs, I would be interested in knowing their names.
