Newb Here (san Diego Peeps, Pls Look Also)

Hey guys, just bought my first hookah yesterday. It is a Mya QT, which I bought locally. First bowl was good but it seems too big to pack for just 2 people (me and my girlfriend). Alot of the shisha wasnt even used even after we were so buzzed, so I might buy another bowl.

I was wondering if a small phunnel would be better for a 2 person session. Also, can I use a screen instead of foil with the phunnel?

For the SD people I was wondering where could I buy hookah accessories locally? Im located in San Diego and I want to find a store where they sell charcoal, the phunnel and a screen without jacking up the prices.The place where I bought my Mya was selling 3 kings roll for about $5 each. Ive been reading here for a while now and saw that I live near Oddesey (sp?). Do they sell hookah gear there? Edited April 5, 2007 by Oofie810

A small phunnel will make your sessions last so much longer. I love my phunnel.

While I don't live in your area (Nor Cal Baby!) I do know that Odyssey a.k.a Tangiers is in your area... you lucky SOB! Also, I think Hookah Company is down in SD, and they offer local pick up from their wherehouse when you order online with them. I would email them for details though. Both places stock phunnels (I'm pretty sure Odyssey does, anyway) and you can get a bunch of stuff from either store.

Edit: Went to Oddessey tonight and met Eric. Very nice guy, very hospitable, easy to talk to. He showed us around, showed us how they make Tangiers tobacco. Bought coals, a very nice funnel bowl and 2 packs of tobacco, he also gave ame an oyster fork for the tobacco. He even packed a bowl of Kashmir peach for me and my girlfriend so we can try it there (he even gave us free grapefruit, and he knows his grapefruit btw).

All in all, my experience going to Oddyssey was very pleasant. I would recommend people go down here and meet him. Edited April 5, 2007 by Oofie810

I got a small funnel, and the sessions are a lot longer than they used to be with the bowl that came with the hookah. Thing is, you can leave the foil/screen on and come back later (for me it's sometimes days later) and your shisha won't be all dried out and nasty. Funnel = good.
