AKammenzind
Bear with me, I promise there's a point to this! And nothing illegal, I swear! Well I just tried smoking two things in a tinfoil pipe, coffee grinds, and tea leaves. Why? because I'm bored to shite I felt like trying something different! Results: Tea leaves gave me a huge plume of smoke on the very first hit, that was a bit of a surprise. Tasted ... strange. sorta like a very mild cigarette ... Unfortunately the coffee grinds didnt really work, and just tasted really odd. (plus I inhaled a bit of the grinds...)The reason I thought to post it here is, has anyone tried mixing tea with molasses and smoking that in a hookah? Or maybe sage? I think some nice molasses coated mint tea might be quite good out of a hookah, or it might blow the big one and make the brave soul who tried it quite ill, hrm? yashman19
As odd as the topic is, lets stay on course and discuss if anyone has mixed tea leaves etc with their tobacco, and stay away from everything else that doesn't have to do with hookah. ASUSEAN1
here we go, it was on smileys blog"Hello everyone I would like to share a little fun you can get from your Hookah Session. First of all. Please do not drive a auto after smokeing this session. LOL This is what you want to do. Pick your favorite Shisha. I picked Orange. Smiley’s Sexy Orange. I went to the local Herb Store. These place useually sell Teas, And Madisonal Herbs. I purchased some Camomile Flowers Dried. When I got home. I began to set up my Hookah. I used a tablespoon of Camomile and ground it up. Make sure to take out the big chunks. It should be fairly ground. I added the ground flower to my Orange shisha. About a pinch. Mixxed it together and loaded a bowl. I also made some tea from the rest of the flowers. I used some milk in the vase just for kicks and gigles. This was a Tranqual Ride on some Fluffy Clouds. I felt no pain. I drank my tea and smoke what I like to call a orange dream. Have fun try this out. Relax and have fun."-Smileytodays jus been for of hookah research, ive been digging up old posts all day haha

cymptom
I tried making shisha with the herb damiana, which is sometimes used for tea. It smoked fine but the strange herbal undertone that starts to come through after a while is not desirable, and I think you'll get that with most herbs. It smokes fine for 10-20 minutes, then starts tasting like a hamster cage.

I hope to have Big hits and a Heady kick to the Brain. LOL Now after reading this I have to make some out of Black Tea and Green Tea Shisha. I just have to see what we will get from those two. What flavors should I make? I'm thinking a Lemon Black Tea and a Vanilla Green Tea. The Herbal is going to be a bunch of different flavors. I'm hopeing for success. Hehehe wish me luck.Smiley

SoulFireX97
Hmmm, this reminds me of what i have been experimenting with lately. I've been using rinds of fruit (apple, grapefruit, and oranges) to mix with my shisha. It adds great overtones of flavor to the shisha, plus I use less shisha which is always a plus on a collage budget. (In case your wondering how I do this, I take a potato peeler to the rind, mince up the shavings and add it to the shisha)This has actually been a great hit around the fraternity and everyone loves it, especially since it doesn't hinder the smoke. But now i need to experiment with tea's, I think mint tea would be awesome!Soul
GypsyLotus
QUOTE (cymptom @ Apr 6 2007, 09:39 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>The blue lotus buzz is comparable to a nicotine buzz, just nicer....I have an herbal mix called 'Lotus Eaters" that has lotus and the Egyptian Blue Lily- often incorrectly called lotus- I had it in mind to mix it in with some shisha but just haven't had the chance. I'm wondering however, which flavor shisha should I use. Currently I have some strawberrry and some hazelnut..for the lotus mix i'm thinking some vanilla with something...I dont know..you guys choose something- don't have to suggest the vanilla- and Ill try it out! liquidglass
I've been adding tea to my shisha for quite sometime now so here's my two cents. (didn't realize smiley had the same idea as me lol)Orange Shisha with Chamomile: however ripping open a tea bag and putting a pinch or two in works just like grinding it up yourselfChi Tea also works to give it a slight spiceRasberry Gardens (green tea) Has a rasberry taste to it, mmm mmm works great mixed with anything, including coffee flavored shishaJust some ideas to get you started.Any TEA works, just depends on the flavor you're going for. But it smokes great and tastes wonderful. I've never experiemented with many plants directly, tea bags work for me.
