MalibuLx3
Just got my Sky Blue Mya QT in, and it feels like the bowl isn't tight enough on the stem. How tight should it be on there??Also, has anyone measured what the optimal water level is. I know like 1/2 above bottom of the stem, but has anyone measured it out? Thanks guys
ASUSEAN1
the bowl that comes with it should fir really tight, are you sure you have the grommet on the stem?
Twang
I use two grommets on my large Mya. It should be airtight. I suggest smoking with the water level a little lower than usual, then a little higher and go from there to find out what works best for you. jordanneff
Well my first hookah the bowl wasn't as tight as on the one I have now but both work fine. I think as long as it doesn't wobble and there's good airflow then you shouldn't have problems
web250
Mine is pretty tight. If it's too loose, try some paper towel.1000 posts!!!! woooo
The King
my bowl isnt real tight...it doesn't wobble but it will leak a bit of molasses onto the stem...works good though
AinSophAur
make sure you put the grommet on the stem THEN put on the bowl. It should be real tight. Also fill up the QT bowl three quarters of the way between the base and the top of the crown. where it crests. Its kinda hard to explain.
MalibuLx3
Well I gave Hookah-Shisha a call and asked about the bowl, and the told me the paper towel trick, but also said if that didn't seem to help, he would send me out a replacement bowl no charge. He said sometimes the bowls can be a little lopsided and might not fit as snug as they should. But he was extremely friendly and very helpful. I once recall reading that a can of coconut milk, 14oz., was the perfect amount, so would 14oz. be good for water too? Or am I just thinking too much about it? Thanks guys

cemab4y
I use a small piece of plumber's friction tape (available from any hardware store) on the grommet. It "grips" the ceramic better, and insures an air-tight seal.
