Layalina Vanilla And A Foul Taste

I picked up a tub of vanilla yesterday along with some mint (makes an amazing mix), and the moment I opened the vanilla, I smelled something wrong. The tobacco smelled, not sour, but like there was mildew growing inside. My friend said that the smell had a finish that smelled like Bud Lite. The batch was dated 08/2006, with an expiration date of 08/2008, so I'm wondering if the batch from the lab was bad.

Layalina Vanilla smokers, please check your produced (prd) date and compare it with mine, the vanilla flavor should smell entirely sweet, not sharp at all.

i have never had a problem with layalina vanilla and i think it smells really good so maybe you did get a bad batch

Never had a problem with any Layalina. It's always possible for a bad batch

I just smoked some layalina vanilla last night with the same manufacture date, and it was fine. I think you got a batch that got contaminated somehow. Take it back where you got it and have them trade it out.

It definitely does not smell like Bud Light. I work for a Miller distributorship and if anything smelled like an AB product in my house there's no way it would last 5 seconds. LOL

I'm thinking that's it, I took the batch back, they exchanged it with no problems (the guy is my uncle). This batch still has a tinge of the smell, but not nearly as bad.

Maybe the boxes that your supplier has became compromised due to bad handling and/or storage?

Somehow the inner bag got compromised?

Having said that i've never heard of tobacco going 'bad'.... I've got nahkla that has been opened for over 6 months
and smokes fine....

Layalina has allways struck me as very high quality. I might try and contract Laylina direct.
